So, I cut a Sheriff badge out of yellow foam board and then wrote, SHERIFF in black sharpie marker onto the front of the badge. There was a couple more things I needed to add to the shirt so it would be complete and look like Sheriff Woody. I painted the top part of the shirt above the vest and over the collar of the shirt a solid read to look like a bandana. I then, got my red acrylic paint out, again. Once the vest was all glued together and glued to the front of the shirt and the buttons. I wanted to make sure there was enough room for the white large buttons and that you would be able to see the shirt between the vest, as well. I trimmed the white vest once I saw it on the shirt. You will begin hot gluing all the pieces onto the shirt. Now, is the fun part (at least I think so). You will see those on the finished shirt pictures, below.Ĭut black felt into irregular shapes to put onto the white vest halves so it looks like a cow print. ![]() I also, cut 2 circles for Woody’s buttons out of the white felt. While the lines were drying, I cut the white felt into the shape of Woody’s vest. I then made the lines horizontally once the vertical red lines were dry. I used a straight edge piece of scrap oak tag to make my lines on the shirt. I recommend putting cardboard and/or newspaper between the front and back of the shirt so the paint does not run through. The rest of the DIY Costume is in the detail of the shirt.Īll you need is: *A yellow t-shirt (I love using the crew neck tees they have at your local craft store) *White, Black and Brown felt *Red acrylic paint *Yellow foam board *Black sharpie marker *Hot Glue Gunĭirections: First, we have to paint our yellow shirt.
